Weekly Report

By on March 3, 2018

Welcome to this week’s property report.

Large established sections were the talk of the office this week, with 23 Ridgecrest and Lot 5 Mount Barker Road both selling for well over the million dollar mark recently. On another note, if you’re in the market for new homewares or interior furnishings, McKenzie & Willis are having one of their big sales – check out my link to what is available in t he Wanaka store by clicking HERE.

We visited two new properties on Thursday:

  • First up was a brand new build at 24 Stackbrae. I sold the neighbouring property to a Nelson couple who moved in last weekend and are already loving it. This one is a spacious 3 bedroom home walking distance to town. A lot to like as a perfect holiday home.
  • Second property is an elevated section at Northlake, great buying for just over $400K for a 700sqm section

Over the last 10 months I have included interviews with a range of property related businesses and or interesting and people from within Wanaka. The feedback on these have had has been great, so thank you to those who have been in touch with feedback.

Below is a list of who I have interviewed (click on the links to go through to the interviews that can be found on my website mitchcampbellrw.co.nz)

Landscaping – The Yard

Home Staging – Peak Interiors

Architecture  – Mason & Wales

New Restaurant – Ode

New Day Care Facility – Wana Excel

Holiday Rental Company –  Wanaka Holiday Homes

Mortgage Me –  Home Lending

Rental Management – Home & Co

Wanaka Golf  – Teaching Professional

Town Planner – Jo Fyfe

Home Lightening – Pretty Sweet Lighting

I have run some analysis on the most popular to date and the time spent reading each interview…

Leading page views is the interview with Colleen Topping from Home & Co, a leading Rental Management company. Second was an interview with Hamish Muir of Mason and Wales Architects and third was the interview with the team from Maude wines. It’s been great to discover the interviews that you have found to be the most relevant and interesting.

The interview with most time spent reading was my chat with Jo Fyfe, a local town planner who works for JEA. Obviously the proposed changes to the District Plan was of interest to many. Closely followed by the team who run NZ Digital Marketing Institute, which is a really good read on how an enterprising young couple have relocated and set up in Wanaka, and are now thriving.

I have an interview with a local builder coming up soon, but do let me know if there’s anyone that you’d like to learn more about.

As always, please let me know if there’s anything I can do for you too.

Best regards

Mitch
