Weekly Report
Welcome to this week’s property report. It’s been a busy past week with no signs of slowing.
Last Friday night was a late one, as I was involved in a three way multi offer on 15 Northburn Road. By Monday morning we had a multi offer on 26 Frye Crescent and I had an offer accepted on 11 Glenaray Crescent. I have also had unconditional sales on 39 West Meadows Drive and 1 Reserve Lane this week.
I can’t speak for the other agencies in town, but Ray White seems to be full steam ahead throughout Level 2 and as we have the lion share of listings, it suggests that the Wanaka market is faring better than the media would have you believe.
This week we have a couple of new signings coming online… First up is 8 Platinum Ridge. This is a 980sqm site which boasts incredible lake and mountain views, a truly stunning site. (below)

127 Lakeview Terrace in Hawea is a project with plenty of upside. A quaint old family crib with lake views and a very large section. Start making plans for what can be achieved here. Deceased estate, so must be sold.
Also… 13 Kirimoko Summit was the pick of this row when we released this subdivision. Titles are just in and the owner has moved to a section higher up the hill, so this section is now up for sale. Over 600sqm with a price guide of $450,000, this will go quick. Interest is already there – I was onsite at 8am this morning showing a client!
My colleague and I are working with a well known local builder and land developer to package up a very modern 3 bedroom build for under $830,000. This is very close to the schools and the lake, just off Aubrey Road. If this appeals, please get in touch and I can send through plans and section details.
Finally we also have a large family home nestled down by Eely Point – a substantial home on a large section this one is quietly listed so please enquire for further information. A great community project to finish things off… Richie Hawkins from Hawkeye Builders is leading a great local initiative in the wake of Covid-19. He’s offering 2 days worth of free building worth and $1000 worth of Placemakers products to a deserving local family, charity or community group who may have been affected by Covid. He’s teamed up with a number of local firms and is asking nominations so head to their Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/hawkeyebuilders
It has been much more productive this week with the kids back at school, my son and I even managed to visit the barbers today. I think we were both shocked with the finished product after eight weeks of long locks! We were out on the lake last Sunday and it was a beautiful autumn afternoon, however looking at the coming forecast for this weekend, a woollen hat may well be required.
With Queen’s Birthday next weekend, many of you have indicated that you’ll be heading into Wanaka for a long weekend break. If you are coming into town and want to chat property please let me know.
Have a great weekend
Mitch
