Weekly Report 10/4/20
Welcome to this week’s property report.
I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well and getting through this period of uncertainty. Yesterday’s news from the Government showed positive outcomes with the Level 4 lockdown, with further reductions of new and probable Covid 19 cases.
Hopefully we can all get back to some form of work in late April. A number of you have called and checked in to see what things are doing on the property front.
This week, I can report: We sold 91 Kings Drive late on Thursday night, under a multi offer situation for $1.1M CV – $890,000. I had a multi offer situation on 749 Aubrey Road section – this is still being negotiated as I write this.
I launched a stunning section at 11 Glenaray Crescent. This boasts bold views to the North with some striking mountain vistas on offer, a full acre with this one – my wife and I like this one a lot. I have four very good sites in the new Clearview development up for resale. My vendor chose well when selecting these sites. I have booked my photographer already to sort drone images to showcase the views on offer. As an early teaser…. Lot 39 is a cracker with views to Ruby Island on offer. (Please enquire further if these appeal).
The Ray White Wanaka team has had regular online catch ups and we are all expanding our Te Reo Māori language over this period. An interesting statistic that came up was that of the top 10 high-end properties sold in Wanaka during February and March, ($1,690,000 and above) eight of these were sold through our team. I posted a well written article by Mike McCurdy from Todd Walker Law firm in regards to Southland property values over this period. Well worth a read – Click HERE for the full article.
If you have any questions over this period please let me know. Portia and I are getting out with the kids for plenty of bike rides on nice quiet neighbourhood roads – the fresh air has helped for all parties I think!
Stay safe and speak soon,
Mitch
