Weekly Property Report
Welcome to this week’s property report.
Somewhat of a unusual week this week as we held our 5 Auctions on Tuesday, instead of Friday and I have now headed north to Auckland for four days of work and family events.
A quick update on the Auction results:
First up was my listing on 2 Homestead Close, a stunning family home neighbouring Station Park. This was passed in at auction but within two hours post Auction I had three conditional offers. This is now under contract, but it is conditional upon the sale of another property, so still worth considering if you were interested in this.
Next up was 49 Minaret Ridge, this entry level Pen Bay home sold for $987,500.
The third property was a great project house at Lot 1, 36 Albert Town Lake Hawea Road this sold for $790,000.
The most excitement of the day was with1 Ewing Place, a fierce battle unfolded finally selling for $1,595,000.
64 Hunter Crescent was last up was an old crib in old part of Wanaka. Now priced by negotiation.
A new interview for you this week and it’s with a local surveyor Stuart Taylor. It was great to get an understanding on his field of work but also the range of services that he offers. Please read here….
Interesting news from the Reserve Bank this week too, with the announcement that they’re easing the restrictions on LVRs – this is good news for first home buyers and for investment property buyers too. More info here if you’re interested.
Exciting news for my wife and I this week…. with the title finally coming through for our section as part of The Heights Stage One release. With any luck our Building Consent will be signed off next week and we’ll be underway with our own build. If you want to know any numbers in terms of build costs, I am knee deep in them right now so give me a call.
I am back to Wanaka Sunday night so please let me know if I can help in any way.
