Our Build: Update Five
Its week five and the guys are cracking on well. The tanking and waterproofing for the basement is complete, including back full with stones for drainage. The digger was back carving out the main part of the house that sits on top of the basement and back onto our section. A slight profile back into the hill will most likely be planted in tussock when landscaping takes place.
The team laid out the top foundations today for the concrete pour tomorrow morning.
This will allow the block layers in on Monday and Tuesday to bring the blocks up to the level of the basement and then concrete is poured into these blocks for structural support.
The steel work is on route from Auckland, which forms the suspended concrete pad housing the in slab heating lines. This will be the next big job for late next week dependent on travel times.
